LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A poll from the University of Arkansas shows Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor locked in a tight battle against Republican challenger U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, with many voters undecided more than a year before the election.
The school on Wednesday released its annual Arkansas Poll. The poll showed that 36 percent of people who said they were very likely to vote next year said they'd back Pryor. Thirty-seven percent said they'd back Cotton. Twenty-seven percent didn't know or refused to say. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
Pollsters completed 800 telephone surveys of adult residents between Oct. 10 and Oct. 17. Of those, 618 identified themselves as very likely voters.
