LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV)-- Saturday, November 9, is the opening day for modern gun deer season. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is expecting over 300,000 people to be hunting at some point this weekend.

As always, safety is an issue. Hunters are asked to always wear hunter orange when in the woods. If you're in a tree stand make sure to attach a safety belt. You must have your hunter's license and be sure to tag every deer killed.
