LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- No matter what the question, no one can stump Dr. T. Glenn Pait with UAMS. He's cracking open up his medical mailbag to answer your questions.
These are the questions he covered:
-I'm a 55 year-old woman in good health. It has become obvious to me the back of my teeth are smooth. When discussing this with my daughters, they were not so sure this was good. I think it's quite appealing. I thought I'd ask you.
-I have Type II diabetes. What exercise do you recommend I try?
-My dad recently had a stroke. He's doing better, but he appears to be unable to sneeze. Is this something we should worry about? Should we discuss this with his doctor, or is it just part of recovering from the stroke?
-I've had my gallbladder removed. If you have no gallbladder, can you form gallstones someplace else?
-I enjoy drinking coffee, but the caffeine in coffee does not like me. I was told by a friend that decaffeinated coffee has as much as 30% of the caffeine as in regular coffee. Is he correct?
-My dad, who lives in New Jersey, recently underwent a procedure that revealed he has internal hemorrhoids. Does this mean he's going to have to have surgery? He tells me he's not having any pain.
-Sometimes when I walk I feel as if there's a marble between the 3rd and 4th toes of my foot. Sometimes I experience severe pain when I walk. Is this something I should worry about? What do you think is going on?
