LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Fayetteville singer/songwriter, Barrett Baber, has been selected by a panel of celebrity judges as one of the Top 40 finalists in CBS's Grammy Gig of a Lifetime contest.
Baber was nominated and chosen from thousands of submissions to the contest by Fall Out Boy, Austin Mahone, and Emeli Sande.
Through 1 p.m. today , people are asked to vote to choose a winner from the Top 40 finalist. The winner will play in Los Angeles at Club Nokia at the Grammy Gig of a Lifetime Concert.
Baber released his latest LP, Battlefield Us, in September 2013 with a sold out album release party at the UARK Ballroom in Fayetteville, AR. The album spent several days on the iTunes country charts (Baber's second album to receive such notoriety). The singer/songwriter is currently playing in Arkansas and surrounding states.
Baber's submission was anchored by a live recording of a performance of the song, Drop Dead Redhead. The video was recorded at Haxton Road Studios in Bentonville, AR.
