PEA RIDGE, Ark. (KTHV) - Mother nature has had quite the impact on northwest Arkansas schools this winter.
In the Pea Ridge School District, Friday was the first day back for students.
They've only been in class for eight times since December 4th.
Students had planned to be back in the classroom on Monday, but the latest round of winter weather forced for them to cancel for three more days.
Parents said their kids have forgotten what it's like to wake up before eight.
Some of the parents say their afraid the kids will be in class until July 4th.
School officials however said they aren't sure yet how students will make up the days.
