LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Pulaski County authorities arrested a 35-year-old woman for reportedly stabbing a man to death.
According to an incident report from Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, a man received a call about 10 p.m. saying that his brother had been stabbed and needed help. When he arrived at the home on Minton Road, the man called authorities and said it appeared his brother was deceased.
Deputies responded to the scene, confirming there was a body, identified as 63-year-old Herschel Lynn Johnson.
An arrest report states that Melissa Stearns was arrested Sunday afternoon for the Johnson's death. The report details, "(Melissa Stearns) admitted post Miranda that she and Herschel Johnson got into an argument at their residence resulting in (Stearns) stabbing Johnson." It also states that Stearns originally left the house and during an initial interview said she was unaware of the situation.
Lt. Carl Minden said Stearns is charged with First Degree Murder and received no bond.
