CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - According to the Faulkner County Circuit Clerk's office, a $1 million bond has been set for the man charged with attempted capital murder after a shootinginside Walmart on Skyline Drive.
LaTresha Woodruff, public information officer with the Conway Police Department, said the shooting happened 10 p.m. Saturday. One woman was shot multiple times and was taken to the hospital for treatment where she is in stable condition.
Witnesses at the scene said the shooting happened at the front of the building near the checkout lines.
Policereleased a photo of the suspect caught in surveillance video.Through the course of the investigation, a suspect was developed and later arrested.
On Monday, officials with the Faulkner County Circuit Clerk'sOfficesaidMyron Terrell, 29,was charged with attempted capital murder, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm. Additionally, they said that if Terrell is able to post his $1 million bond, he must wear an ankle monitor.
Police do believe this woman was specifically targeted; however, there is no reason to believe that the suspect and the victim knew each other.
Lori Ross with Conway Regional Medical Center said Monday that the victim is listed in "serious condition," though details of her condition will not be released.
None else was injured in the shooting, and the case is still under investigation.
