LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - One man in Little Rock is getting ready for some rest and relaxation.
The Little rock police chief Stuart Thomas announced his retirement almost two weeks ago, and Wednesday, he said he's most excited about the holidays.
"Well, I'm looking forward to having a few days off, getting to do a few things, and it will be the first time that I've actually been off on the 4th of July in about 25 or 30 years, so it will be kind of nice," said Thomas.
Chief Thomas said he plans to leave the department on June 27th. He has served as the chief for nine years.
