CONWAY, Ark. (UCA) - Korey Billbury had 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles to a 63-50 victory over the University of Central Arkansas Bears on Saturday afternoon at the Farris Center.

After taking a slim 28-25 halftime lead, the Golden Eagles (14-13, 8-6) held the Bears to just 23.3 percent shooting (7 of 30) in the second half and pulled away for the win, completing a season sweep of the series. UCA's first field goal of the second half came at the 12:54 mark on a jumper by Daouda Berete. To that point, UCA had made only four free throws.

The Bears (6-19, 3-11) never got the deficit under 10 points the rest of the way as the Golden Eagles shot 46.2 percent from the field and made 10 of 14 free throws (71.4 percent) in the second half.

UCA, one of the top three-point shooting teams in the Southland Conference, made just 3 of 17 from beyond the arc for 17.6 percent. ORU made only 3 of 11 but outrebounded UCA 48-30, including 15 offensive rebounds.

The Bears had a 25-24 lead after Ethan Lee's jumper with 1:13 to play in the first half, but ORU's Shawn Glover had a dunk and Billbury made a pair of free throws to give the Golden Eagles their 28-25 halftime advantage. Glover, the league's No. 2 scorer behind UCA's LaQuentin Miles, finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds.

Miles, a senior from Jacksonville, led the Bears with 16 points, while fellow senior DeShone McClure added 11.

UCA continues its three-game homestand against Sam Houston State on Thursday and against Lamar on Saturday afternoon.
