PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) — Still, very few details being released about Fuller Middle School Principal Brent Mitchell, who was suspended by the Pulaski County School District Wednesday afternoon.

The school district, as well as police have not released the reasons surrounding Mitchell's suspension, just that it is a personnel matter that is being investigated.

But, while the details may be few, the support is not.

Many parents, former students, and colleagues taking on THV11's Facebook page, where they shared their opinion about a man they seem to care so deeply about.

One mother wrote, "My daughter was one of them! My daughter loves this man. I refuse to think badly of him."

A former colleague shared, "Taught with Brent at MLK- great guy, hopefully a resolution will come soon."

And this one-- from a friend, "Brent has always been a stand-up guy. His reputation exceeds what anyone assumes about him and this situation."

James Bauldwin was picking up his seventh-grader from Fuller Thursday afternoon and he shared similar sentiments.

"That man was like a father to any kid that walked in this school," said Bauldwin. "If you had a problem [you could] come talk to him."

Mitchell has not been disciplined in the past, and has served as principal at Fuller since 2011.
