Shelby Danielsen comes to us from Denver, Colorado where she produced at KUSA as part of Gannett's Talent Development Program. She was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and is a proud advocate of the Chiefs and any and all KC BBQ!
She's a Kansas State University alum with a B.S. degree in journalism and mass communications, and she completed her French minor at l'Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour in Pau, France. At K-State, she worked for the university's newspaper and the school's film department. In 2011, she interned with Channel 41 in Kansas City, for which she obtained an Emmy nomination with investigator Russ Ptacek.
In 2012, she interned with the Sporting KC Soccer Club and Wide Awake Films. While in Denver, she also worked for the non-profit "Christ in the City," making documentaries to showcase the missionaries to their supporters and she ran their website.
She loves exploring Arkansas; some of her favorite places are Hemmed-In Hollow, Hawksbill Crag and the Arkansas River Trail. She's an avid runner, biker and hiker. Her favorite memory in Arkansas so far is running in the Little Rock Marathon!
