BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - Benton police say they caught a burglary suspect in the act of breaking and entering.

Sunday morning around 1 a.m. officers got a call from a witness they heard glass break in the back of the apartment complex. When police found the apartment with the broken glass, inside they found a suspect, Ruston Hobbs, 26, inside gathering property.

Hobbs was taken to the Saline County Detention Facility where he is charged with residential burglary, public intoxication and criminal mischief. More charges are possible.

Police say Hobbs was released on probation and parole in July of 2011.
