It is perhaps the most misunderstood and mysterious ailment
known to our society: Crhon's and Colitis, two conditions
linked closely because of their similar attacks on the human body.
Those with either condition can suffer debilitating pain and discomfort as the body basically attacks itself. There is a stigma attached to the diseases,which comesfrom ignorance of symptoms and how much it can affect the way a person can simply function throughout the day.
To call attention to Chron's & Colitis, a special walk is planned for Saturday at the Clinton Library. It begins at 5 p.m., and already 800- 1,000 people are expected.More than 85%of the funds raised goes to research in hopes that one day we'll find the trigger that produces this awful condition in the human body.
But, the walk is also a way for relatives and friendsto join forces in support of those who suffer. This is why it's called "Take Steps."
