LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Children's Hospital revealed their annual Christmas card collection Sunday morning.
A project that started over 45 years ago has grown to become the hospital's largest fundraiser. Six patients between the ages of two and 11 worked together to create Christmas cards that will represent the hospital's Holiday Card Collection. Featured artist Betsy Ridout also created a 'Jolly St. Nick' card.
"It is a wonderful fundraiser because it's all done by children and for the children here at the hospital," said holiday card project chair Toni Moutos. "And these children know how it feels to stay in the hospital or to have a surgery or some type of treatment. So they're willing to submit their stories, and their artwork to help other children."
The hospital's goal is to raise $55,000 this year through sales. The price is 20 cards for $20, and specialty items will also be available for purchase including Care, Love, Hope t-shirts at $20 each; a medical play kit for $25, children's scrubs for $25, ACH ornaments for $20, and ACH Tervis Tumblers for $20.
The cards will be for sale at Children's Hospital, online, and in various businesses throughout Little Rock.

The Arkansas Children's Hospital would like to thank Arkansas Fertility & Gynecology, Stuart Cobb, Dr. Ann Maners and Dr. Alex Pappas, The Ridout Companies, Mrs. Lisenne Rockefeller, and Rosie Wilson for their help with this fundraiser.
