MIDWAY, Ark. (KTHV) --The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is helping residents recover after Tuesday night's storm damaged their homes.

Tuesday just after 6 p.m., deputies got several 911 calls of storm damage to mobile homes at the Country Life Mobile Home Park on Hwy 5 in Midway. The initial calls stated there were people trapped in some of the damaged mobile homes.

Deputies along with rescue personnel from the Midway Volunteer Fire Dept. arrived and began evacuating residents from their damaged homes. All residents were accounted for and there were no injuries.

Deputies say seven mobile homes got heavy damage. One mobile home had overturned and three other mobile homes had trees on them, collapsing their roofs. Deputies say the damage was unofficially caused by straight line winds.

The American Red Cross and Salvation Army are currently on the scene helping to provide food and shelter to the residents who are displaced. The area has been blocked off and deputies have set up security.
