NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It's an opportunity to honor veterans- former, present, and those still missing in action.
Veterans were presented with gifts for their sacrifice at the POW ceremony in North Little Rock.

Former Chief of Army Chaplains, Chaplain Major General Douglas Carver, was the featured speaker this year, but Chief of Chaplain Service Jack Ryan also had an important message to convey.

"What some people don't realize is just this past summer, June, we had a Korean War missing in action soldier who was brought home and buried in North Little Rock at the state veteran's ceremony and what people don't realize is that we currently have a soldier who is missing in action in Afghanistan who has not been recovered," said Ryan.

POWs are not just a past problem, they're a current problem as well.
