FORT SMITH, Ark. (KFSM) – This long winter drags on especially for northern parts of the state.

Another round of snow made for slippery and slushy roads in the northwest part of the state. Some drivers have started to notice this has been a familiar refrain on Sunday this year.

"I don't know what the deal is with it snowing every Sunday. Like this is the 3rd or 4th Sunday out of the last 4 or 5 Sundays that we've had this kind of weather," pondered one resident.

This light snow on a Sunday is good news for school systems throughout the area. Dozens are seeking waivers for making up all the lost days from previous storms.

Bentonville Schools held classes on Saturday, trying to get back on schedule.
