LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Pulaski County employees will continue having to pay for healthcare costs, at least until the end of the year.
The budget committee voted on a proposal at Tuesday's meeting to have full-time employees continue paying $20 a month for health insurance.
Justice of the peace Bob Johnson said it's the first time county employees have had to pay for healthcare, and even though not everyone is happy about the extra costs, most people have moved on.
"They've already had the big hurt. The big ouch. You know, this would be nice, but they've already had the plan," he said.
Justice Johnson said the county could decide to make changes next year.
