LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Governor Mike Beebe joined Arkansas Economic Development Commission officials and local leaders to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Community Development Block Grant program.
Beebe joined AEDC officials and local leaders from across the state Monday at the state Capitol to mark the anniversary of the program created by Congress in 1974. Projects that were highlighted during the ceremony include the McGehee Japanese American Internment Museum, the Mulberry AVS edamame facility and the Mississippi County Union Rescue Mission.
