DYESS, Ark. (KAIT) - People in the northeast part of the state welcomed home the Cash family on Friday.

The Johnny Cash Boyhood Home and Administration Building in Dyess opened for the first time to a select audience.

Joanne and Tommy Cash said that they could not be more honored that so many people worked hours, weeks and months to bring their home back to life.

Now, people from around the world will be able to read, listen and look at a piece of this Dyess history.

This event today was a special preview to a select audience before the grand opening on August 16th.
