LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A book written about the West Memphis Three is now on the big screen.

Devil's Knot, a thriller starring Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth and directed by Atom Egoyan, hits select theaters this Friday, though none of the showings will be in Arkansas. The film premiered in Little Rock at Ron Robinson Theatre on May 3.

If you are unfamiliar with the story, it's about three young boys who were found murdered in northeast Arkansas in 1993 and the murder trial that put three teenagers behind bars for almost 20 years. The film was adapted from "Devil's Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three"
