LITTLE ROCK (AHTD) – Westbound Interstate 40 at mile marker 258 will be reduced to one lane for several days while crews work to repair damage caused by a tractor-trailer accident this morning, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.

At approximately 7:51 a.m., a tandem tractor-trailer departed the eastbound travel lanes, went into the median and came to rest adjacent to the westbound bridge over Allen Bayou, which is just west of Exit 260 (Earle). The resulting fire caused damage to the structure.
