CLINTON, Ark. (KTHV)- Cody Webster feels lucky to be alive less than 24 hours after he was pinned underneath two giant logs that rolled off a runaway truck near his construction site.

"When I was running away I saw logs and I thought there was no way I was going to get out of it. I thought I was done," Webster told THV. "I was freaking out but I knew there were people that needed it worse and eventually someone came over and started getting people on the logs to get them off. It was crazy."

The 19-year-old construction worker suffered a broken ankle and extensive bruises on his arms and legs but is expected to survive. "I couldn't get out. I tried and my adrenaline was going," he added. "The first one was about yay big and another was a little bit bigger. It took five guys to get them off."

Webster told THV he plans to be back on the job as soon as his ankle heals. He's also a welding student in Morrilton and hopes to switch careers permanently after graduation.
