LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The best and brightest upcoming high school seniors in Arkansas are beginning a new journey.

Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe gave the opening address to the 2014 Arkansas Governor's School. Organizers believe the program is an investment in the future of Arkansas, and it develops students' intellectual skills, broadens their horizons and helps them fulfill their potential.

The location of the six-week residential program changes every year, and this year, students will be at Hendrix College in Conway.
