LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The popular Little Rock Movies in the Park celebrated its tenth season on Wednesday night.
Every year the crowd gets bigger and for many it has become a tradition.
What better way to spend a gorgeous Wednesday night, than right in the center of Little Rock's River Market?
"I think the location really is what makes it just fantastic."
For the tenth year, the popular event is attracting hundreds of people.
"We have entertained between 1,500 and 3,000 people at every single movie."
The capital city's event has been so successful that other surrounding cities are now turning to them for guidance and direction.
"There's really a network that happens between cities who are trying to do community events to try to figure out what works, what doesn't work," said Diana Long.
Although it continues to be a success, committee members are constantly looking for ways to make the experience even better and involve more people in the community.
"Closed captioning for the hearing impaired, potentially some closed captioning that would be in Spanish for the Latino community to come down," said Long.
As for now, those enjoying the cool summer breeze that drifts along the river say it's hard to imagine life getting any sweeter than this.
The kickoff film that played on Wednesday was Man of Steel.
