NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Members of the state's American Legion posts are gathering in North Little Rock for their annual convention.

A hot topic on the agenda is the controversy over delays in medical care at VA hospitals and health centers.

The Legion is among several veteran's groups who pushed for a leadership change at the VA.

Paul Dillard, a national vice commander, said they're disappointed but glad changes have been made.

"Accountability and accessibility. No veteran should not be put into the system and not be able to get medical attention," said Dillard.

The Legionares are also discussing President Obama's recent call to send 300 military advisors to Iraq.
