WHITE HALL, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Department of Correction continues its search for escaped inmate Timothy "Bo" Buffington.
According to the department, Buffington walked out of the corrections facility post Saturday evening with a weapon and hostage. Authorities were not able to confirm details surrounding the escape, but say they are doing everything they can to capture Buffington.
"We are not ruling anything out as far as his whereabouts,"DOC spokeswoman Shea Wilson said Monday.
The DOC is concentrated much of its search effort around Claud Road in White Hall with roadblocks and frequent traffic stops to check cars.

Earlier Monday morning, the DOC said it received reports of gunshots near the area, though it was not sure if the shots were related to Buffington.
"We have reached out to other areas where he has ties. You know it's very possible he could have gone somewhere else by now so we're not ruling that out," continued Wilson.
One of those other areas is Logan County, where authorities say Buffington's last known address was. It's also where he was convicted of shooting and killing his ex-wife for which he is serving his 20-year sentence.
Buffington was given a trusty status back in 2003 for good behavior, and was given less supervision within the corrections facility as a result. Authorities say that even though he is convicted killer, Buffington showed better behavior than many of his fellow inmates.
Wilson says the DOC will not address circumstances surrounding Buffington's escape until he is found.
Buffington's sentence was set to end in 2018, but now he faces escape charges.
Authorities said he was last seen wearing a white prison jumpsuit. Furthermore, they want to remind the community that if anyone happens to see him to not engage with him. Instead, call 911 immediately.
