LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Little Rock Police said a teen was apparently attacked by a small group of her peers during her own birthday party on Friday.
According to Lt. Sidney Allen, police were called to Chili's on Rodney Parham Road around 10 p.m. in reference to a fight. Allen said police questioned a man who was seen pushing several younger girls away inside; he apparently told them that he was celebrating his daughter's 18th birthday at the restaurant when a group of teenage girls grabbed his daughter by the hair and started hitting her.
In a police report, the man testified that he refused to sit aside and let someone else harm his daughter, so he jumped up to defend her and break up the fight by pushing them away from her.
The police report also indicated that the girl, the group of teens, and several other family members left before police arrived. The man was taken in for a statement and released; surveillance footage supported his statement.
Police did not say if the man's daughter was injured, and no names were available for the teens that apparently attacked her.
