HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) – It was another gorgeous weekend in Arkansas, but we all know how fast it can get hot and humid again overnight.
Arkansas has its hot spots, but luckily it also has eternal cool spots like Lake Catherine State Park, Falls Branch Falls in Hot Springs.
Ranger Cheryl Vincent was Craig's guide through the state park over the weekend. She's a Kansas girl, lured to Arkansas by State Parks like Lake Catherine.
You feel it, before you see it- the cold air off cold water. After a hot hike, this place is the perfect spot to cool off.
"That's what they come here for. They ask can we swim below the waterfall because a lot of waterfalls you can't. This is one of them you can," said Vincent.
The strength of the all-natural waterfall is determined by the amount of rain.
Falls Branch Falls shows a great example of Arkansas nature at its best.
