NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A tree fell on a shed behind a North Little Rock couple's home nearly missing the back of their house on Wednesday night.

The couple says they were sitting in their living room when the tree split with a large section landing on top of a wood shed in the back yard.

"They're pecan trees and we've been expecting this anytime to happen so we'll cut them off and start from scratch," said Laverne Reynolds.

When crews were on the scene Wednesday evening, several homeowners along Water Street were in the dark because of the fallen tree.

Meanwhile, Entergy Arkansas is still working to restore power to more than 30,000 Arkansans tonight.
