FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFSM) - A former University of Arkansas student and Ouachita Baptist soccer player is in the middle of a class action lawsuit with the NCAA.

Angela Palacios of Fayetteville is one of several former college athletes suing the organization over concussions.

A preliminary settlement reached on Tuesday calls for the NCAA to pay $70 million in testing and diagnosis for athletes.

Palacios said despite having 3 concussions, she was never told to sit out a game.

"My coach was like, you need to run, I was getting out of shape, but I said I can't do that but he said I was being disrespectful, you need to go run," said Palacios.

The settlement calls for all athletes to be cleared by a physician in order to play. Schools will also be required to track and report all concussions and their solutions.

Now, the question is whether the NCAA and the concussion plaintiffs can get the settlement approved.
