SALINE COUNTY, Ark (KTHV) – Former Saline County Sheriff Bruce Pennington pleaded not guilty in court Monday morning.
Pennington pleaded not guilty to two felony charges of abuse of public trust and theft of property as well as a misdemeanor theft of property charge.

In an affidavit, authorities said Pennington dismissed community service for a man who received a speeding ticket in exchange for free granite counter tops. He's also accused of taking a $1,000 check made out to the sheriff's office for personal use and accepting between $700 and $800 from county telephone kiosks from the county book keeper.
