BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) – A man is facing charges once again for allegedly raping a juvenile.
Benton police said they recently took a report involving the rape of a juvenile victim. The victim told police 32-year-old James Gilliam contacted him online initially. He then picked up the juvenile, took him to his house in another city where he allegedly gave the victim illegal narcotics and raped him.
After an investigation, Gilliam was arrested Aug. 5. He is charged with rape, introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, and trafficking of humans. This is an on-going investigation and additional charges could be forthcoming.
This is not the first time Gilliam has faced charges similar to this. He was arrested in November 2013 involving a rape of a juvenile and released on a $10,000 bond.
Gilliam was initially given a $1 million bond on the Aug. 5 charges, but at a bond hearing it was reduced to $100,000.
Gilliam is currently incarcerated in the Saline County Detention Facility.
