HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - A man charged with the death of a Garland county woman last year appeared in court on Monday.

Nickollas Roe was charged with negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving while intoxicated.

Hot Springs police said Roe ran his car into a house, killing 87-year-old Mary Duke.

Authorities said Roe left the scene of the crash before police arrived. When officers caught up to him they administered a blood alcohol test, which registered over the legal limit.
