LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has filed a lawsuit against a Maumelle man he's accusing of deceptively marketing chiropractic services to consumers involved in automobile accidents.

McDaniel filed a lawsuit Monday in Pulaski County Circuit Court against Roger D. Pleasant, his five businesses and his employees, accusing them of violating the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of misleading consumers, repeatedly calling them and showing up at their home and workplace to coerce them into visiting the chiropractor for whom they were working.

McDaniel said his office is looking into several other chiropractic "runners" accused of engaging in similar practices.

Pleasant denied the allegations in the lawsuit and said he believed he was being unfairly targeted by the state.
