LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Little Rock police say shots were fired in the downtown Little Rock area near 'Movies in the Park'.

Lt. Allen with LRPD said officers at 'Movies in the Park' had escorted a large group of teenagers out of the event due to their "unruly behavior". While escorting the group down Ottenheimer Plaza to Clinton Avenue, shots were fired and the crowd scattered.

Allen said no arrests have been made in connection with this incident, but they are still investigating. He said police will work with organizers for future planning saying, "It is our goal to provide a safe, enjoyable atmosphere to fall visitors to the park. We are talking with all entities associated with 'Movies in the park' to formulate better security strategies for this event."

According to Allen, LRPD has already increased its police presence in the River Market area June 25.
