NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - With parents and students hitting stores this weekend for new school supplies, the professionals at the North Little Rock School District attended a workshop.
Members of the school board met Saturday morning to lay the groundwork for the upcoming year and do a status check after the summer break.
"It's a kickoff board workshop to allow our board to talk with us, visit with us, get feedback, and ask questions to make sure we're moving in the right direction," explained superintendent Kelly Rodgers.
On the meeting's agenda: the budget for salaries, an update on the extensive construction in the district, and the latest on minority recruitment efforts in staffing.
