LOGAN COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) – A search team with the Arkansas Department of Correction has been looking for escaped convict Timothy Buffington after receiving a tip that he may have been spotted in Logan County.

Right now, authorities have said that the call was only a tip, and an actual sighting has not been confirmed.

If you'll recall, Buffington has been missing since June 21 when he walked away from work detail. He was 15 years into a 20-year sentence for shooting his ex-wife in Logan County back 1998.
