LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The 3rd Annual Lester M. Vahsholtz BIKE & HIKE FOR ALS is coming up in two weeks and features an 18 mile bike ride, a 3.5 mile hike, and an 18 mile return bike trip.
The event starts at 7am. on August 17 in North Little Rock's Riverfront Park at MARK TWAIN Riverboat & Sandbar Lounge. You'll ride from North Little Rock to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Hike Pinnacle Mountain (The ride will offer a transition station to hold your bike and gear while you hike), then ride back to North Little Rock! Afterward, you can cool off, or sit out on the deck of the Sandbar Lounge.
All of this is to raise awareness and funds for ALS Association of Arkansas.
