LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Arkansas Business) -- News that U.S. employers added workers at a good pace for the fourth straight month helped send the stock market higher Friday. The S&P notching another record high, it's eighth in the past 10 days.

For the week, the index climbed 1.3 percent, the third straight in which it has posted solid gains.

Before the market opened, the Labor Department said employers added 217-thousands jobs to their payrolls in May, in the range of what economists had expected.

The unemployment rate stayed put at 6.3 percent.

Wild River Country sues New Jersey company

Wild River Country is suing a New Jersey company it hired for its Wild Winter Country promotion.

The North Little Rock water park filing suit against SnowMagic Inc., whose snowmaking equipment the park agreed to use to make its temporary snow park last winter.

Wild River Country alleges that SnowMagic bragged that its 50-ton snowmaking equipment could pump out and maintain snow in 70-degree temperature - even in direct sunlight.

But the park said the snow wouldn't stick "even in 45-degree weather," turning to slush.

Wild River Country that resulted in complaints and refunds to customers. The parks claims include fraud and product liability.

SnowMagic, meanwhile, had already sued Wild River Country for failing to pay $105,000 of the $215,000 bill for rental of the machine.

4 Arkansas airports share $3M funding

Four Arkansas airports will share in more than $3 million in funding being awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration for facility upgrades and expansion projects.

The Bill and Hillary Clinton National/Adams Field Airport in Little Rock will receive nearly $2 million to buy land for airport development.

The Springdale Municipal Airport, Texarkana Regional-Webb Field, and Clinton Municipal Airport in Clinton also getting some FAA dollars.
