LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A giant crater appeared out of nowhere in northern Siberia.
NPR reports the crater, estimated 262 feet wide, has been getting more attention since aerial footage was posted online last week.
A team of Russian scientists are headed to the area to investigate.
NPR reports that the area is in the "geologically youngest places on Earth", and it is located in an area that has the largest natural gas reservoir in all of Russia.
