PORT ARANSAS, TX (CNN) -- A fisherman from San Antonio caught one massively huge shark off the Texas gulf coast over the weekend.
Ryan Spring says he fought the beast for more than eight hours. He eventually reeled in the tiger shark, with his father's help. It weighed in at about 809 pounds, and 12-feet, 7-inches long.
This isn't even the biggest shark ever caught in Port Aransas, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife State Department records.
The biggest was 13-and-a-half feet long and weighed more than 1100 pounds reeled in back in 1992.
