NEW ORLEANS, La. (WWL) - Louisiana Health officials are now warning of flesh-eating bacteria discovered in the Brackfish Waters along the Gulf.

8 cases of the bacteria, known as Vibrio Vulnificus, were reported this year alone.

Fisherman are warned to not put their hands in the water if they have cuts. The bacteria can hurt our immune system, lungs, and kidneys.
