NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Saturday marked a very special day for the Curley family in Sherwood as the Greens at North Hills hosted the inaugural Kurt R. Curley Memorial Golf Tournament.

The tournament was founded following Curley's passing from a genetic disease known as gaucher's disease in May 2014. Kurt's brother Nathan decided to honor Kurt's memory by hosting an annual golf tournament.

Nathan says he "shared some of his best memories with Kurt on the golf course", and "there is no better way to honor him".

All proceeds from the tournament go to the Kurt R. Curley memorial fund to provide a $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior from Little Rock Catholic High.
