CLEVELAND (AP) - LeBron James decision to return to the Cavaliers has touched off a big celebration in Cleveland.

Cheers broke out, car horns tooted and the whoops of joyous fans filled the city's streets as word quickly spread that basketball's prodigal son is coming back home.

The four time-NBA MVP announced in an essay published in Sports Illustrated his decision to leave the Miami Heat and move back to Cleveland. James played his first seven seasons in Cleveland. Then he took his talents to South Beach, winning two NBA titles in his four seasons in Miami.

But as James put it in his SI piece, "''I looked at other teams, but I wasn't going to leave Miami for anywhere except Cleveland. The more time passed, the more it felt right."

James departure ends the "Big 3" era in Miami as he, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade all exercised options in their contracts to become free agents.
