MONTICELLO, Ark. (UAM) – The 28th-ranked University of Arkansas at Monticello baseball team completed a three-game sweep over 30th-ranked Harding with a 6-4 victory on Saturday at Weevils Field.

Junior Austin Braddock (1-0) threw five perfect innings to start the game as his teammates built a 6-0 lead with two runs in the second inning and another four in the fourth.

Senior D'Marco Poindexter was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the second for the game's first score. The second run of the inning crossed the plate on a one-out double play. In the fourth, UAM (21-10, 11-7 GAC) strungtogether five hits for its final four runs, highlighted by RBI doubles fromPoindexter and senior Ben Agredano.

Harding (16-12, 8-7 GAC) held UAM to just three hits in the final four innings. After being shutout down in order throughout the first five frames, the Bisons struck through for their only four runs off six hits in the top of the sixth inning. Braddock's relief – sophomore Zach McKnight, junior Kregg Snook and senior Jeff Harvill – kept the Bisons off the board on five hits in the final three innings.

Harvill recorded a two-inning save, his sixth of the season. Braddock finished with four runs allowed off five hits with three strikeouts and no walks in the first five innings.

Agredano and senior Tyler Caruthers each had three-hit performances in Saturday's win. Sophomore Evan Comeau went 2-for-3. UAM finished with 13 total hits, the second time this weekend to reach that mark.

Logan Holthaus (3-1) took the loss for Harding, giving up six runs off 11 hits in the first 4.1 innings.

SCHEDULE CHANGE: Tuesday's schedule double-header at Lyon College has been cancelled. Next on the schedule is athree-game GAC series against East Central next Friday and Saturday (March 28-29) at home.
