CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (UCA) - The University of Central Arkansas women's golf team stands in fifth place after two rounds of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Classic being played at the Corpus Christ Country Club.

Sophomore Sarah Brown is tied for fourth place overall after shooting rounds of 74-74 for a 4-over 148. Junior Kendra Mann is tied for eighth with rounds of 72-78_149. Sophomore Frida Svensson shot 81-78_159 and is tied for 41st, while junior Malin Senneryd shot 81-80_161 and is tied for 48th. Senior Carly Dear is tied for 71st with rounds of 88-81_169.

Lamar is leading the field at 597, followed by Houston Baptist (602), Oklahoma City (606), North Texas (615), UCA (617), Oral Roberts (618), Northern Illinois (623), Stephen F. Austin (624), Sam Houston State (629), Bradley (630), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (635), South Dakota (639), Texas-Pan American (636), McLennan CC (648), Drake (658) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (683).

The final round tees off at 8:15 Tuesday.
