FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark) - The University of Arkansas football team continued spring practice on Tuesday afternoon inside Walker Pavilion in preparation for the 2014 season. Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jim Chaney was available to the media after practice and spoke about Tuesday's session.

"The rain came," Coach Chaney said. "We had practice inside, had good spirit, good energy about us. We did some situational stuff today. I'm pleased with their energy. We've got some things to correct, but for the most part, it looked pretty good."

Coach Chaney also spoke about the team's first open scrimmage of the season held on April 5.

"You've got to take it all and look at every play individually and correct the things you can get done and continue moving on," Coach Chaney said. "What I was pleased with after watching all that scrimmage, is I thought our effort level was great. Our attitude remains high. I think we're playing very hard. Quite honestly, the scrimmages that we had the previous season, I don't remember hearing it the way I heard this one. I think our defense tackled exceptionally well and I thought that was very good to see. It's making us a better offense."

The Razorbacks will wrap up their spring practice sessions with the Red-White Game on April 26. The Red-White Game will be held in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium and broadcast live on CST. Game time is 1 p.m., and admission is free.
