BATON ROUGE, La. (Univ. of Ark.) - The No. 24 Arkansas baseball team gave up four early runs Friday evening and never fully recovered, falling 5-3 to No. 8 LSU at Alex Box Stadium.After giving up four runs in the first three innings, three of which were earned, Trey Killian settled in on the mound and tossed his SEC-leading third complete game of the year, allowing five hits and striking out three.

Eric Fisher provided a solo home run in the fifth inning, his third of the year, while Brian Anderson broke through in the eighth inning with a two-run double to extend his hitting streak to 11 games.

Game two of the series between Arkansas and LSU is set for Saturday at noon and will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with Tom Hart (play-by-play) and Eduardo Perez (analyst) calling the action.
