FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Univ. of Ark.) – With almost a full week of practice in the books, Arkansas football returned to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for its first scrimmage of fall camp Saturday morning. The practice marked the first of the Razorbacks' upcoming two-a-day practice schedule.

Venue: Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium

Format: Full Pads

Highlights: Sophomore wide receiver Drew Morgan was a popular target for quarterback Brandon Allen. Morgan opened the scrimmage with a diving catch for a gain of 45 yards and caught two touchdown passes… Brandon Allen threw for 191 yards, two touchdowns and didn't shy away from rushing with the ball… Junior wide out Keon Hatcher caught a cannon from Brandon Allen on the run for a 50-yard gain…. Freshman back-up quarterback Austin Allen completed 15 of his 19 passes for 139 yards… The Razorback defense was led by freshman linebacker Randy Ramsey who collected three tackles for loss, two sacks and a fumble recovery in the red zone.

Quote of the Day: "I think we have one of the best tight ends group in the country. We have guys that can make plays, that can block and can run all over the field."- Head coach Bret Bielema (@BretBielema)

Bielema on the scrimmage as a whole: "From a scrimmage standpoint, I really like the attitude of both units. I thought there were a lot of positives, but there are definitely some things to clean up. "

Bielema on Brandon Allen's performance: "One player that jumped out at me today was Brandon Allen. I thought he was the guy today that we've seen all camp - very confident, very in control. I think that he has shown some leadership with these players on the field whether they do something well or they don't."

Bielema on the defense: "I think defensively, we're creating turnovers. You hear our defensive players talk about it on every snap, they practice it every day. One thing I love about (defensive coordinator) Robb (Smith) and the defensive coaches is that every day there's a tackling circuit and a ball disruption circuit and that carries over onto the field."

Bielema on the offense: "Obviously I want to have greater ball security on the offense. We came together and talked about it and we only had one mishap after that. Which goes to show that the point of emphasis does carry through."

Hunter Henry (@Hunter_Henry84) on today's scrimmage: "It was definitely a great scrimmage and it was good to just be out here in the stadium. It's always good to be back out here."

Henry on his personal goals: "A big goal for me is to improve on my run blocking. I have to be the big, physical, point of attack blocker and I've definitely improved on that and felt like I held my own today."
